The Employment Relations Authority has found in favour of the elite rowers and cyclists in what has been a long running disagreement with High Performance Sport NZ The ERA has found the government agency's legally obliged to engage in collective bargaining with The Athletes Co-operative - led by Olympic great Mahe Drysdale. High Performance Sport had rejected earlier attempts to hash out a collective agreement on the basis that it does not employ athletes.
