Low Hesket affordable homes plan resubmitted to council

NEW PLANS: Land south of Low Hesket Village Hall A new housing estate could be built at Low Hesket if plans gain council approval. In an application submitted to Eden Valley Council, outline planning permission is sought from the applicant Addis Town Planning for the building of up to 13 dwellings, just south of Low Hesket Village Hall. The plans outline a vision to for three of these properties to be affordable dwellings. This is in a bid to help local people who would otherwise struggle to get onto the property ladder, the applicant states. The plans also state that during the construction phase there would be significant economic benefits which will include labour and materials and more localised benefits including accommodation for contractors if required and increased trade at local services .
