Kerala High Court’s Justice PV Kunhikrishnan had made similar observations in an order passed last year after a litigant argued her case with folded hands and tears in her eyes.
The Court said that the preventive detention of the lawyer was “an outcome of a preconceived mindset” and aimed to somehow keep him chained to jail bars even without any conviction in a criminal case.
An advocate from Ayodhya had filed a PIL alleging that there were encroachments on land given to the Indian Army. The Court, however, disposed of the lawyer's PIL decided to take it up as a suo motu case.
