The Karnataka High Court on Monday directed the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to file an affidavit stating immediate steps which it will be taking for improvement of conditions of parks in the city of Bengaluru.
As per the list submitted to the court which is available on the website of BBMP, there are 1010 parks within its jurisdiction. Under the column present condition of parks/gardens in many cases it is blank. In some cases, BBMP has itself recorded the remark average .
A division bench of Chief Justice Abhay Oka and Justice Suraj Govindaraj said We direct BBMP to make a statement regarding steps which will be taken to start immediate works in parks which are described as average in Annexure E. BBMP shall file an affidavit to that effect by April 21.
