The Delhi High Court rejected a plea by a woman seeking to recover a ₹30 lakh bribe she had paid to an alleged middleman to secure admission for her daughter in the MBBS course at AIIMS.
The Delhi High Court directed Reliance General Insurance to honour the travel insurance claim of a couple who had to cancel their air tickets to Italy in the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The victim had allegedly killed herself in 2016 as part of a suicide pact with the accused. The accused said that his life was only saved as the bullet in his gun had "got stuck" in the chamber of the pistol.
An IPAB order placed before the High Court by the defendants during the hearing of a trademark suit was found not to be genuine, following which contempt proceedings were initiated in the matter.
