Samurai Shodown s newest DLC fighter, Hibiki Takane, is quite the unique addition to the roster. Her counter, the Heavenly Being Blade, in particular is especially noteworthy as it is capable of attacking opponents even if she activates this move against a projectile.
Because of how it interacts with projectiles, Hibiki s counter can actually be comboed into itself in certain scenarios. This interaction was recently shown by Charlie0816 against Genjuro s projectile.
Genjuro s Cherry Blossom Slice first has him slicing upwards with his sword. Following this, a projectile will ascend and then descend.

Last week, the latest new character joined Samurai Shodown for its third season and it s another guest character, though this one is a bit more welcome to fans of the series as well as SNK as a whole. The character in question is of course Hibiki Takane from SNK s other weapon-based fighting game, The Last Blade, and she s no stranger to fighting game crossovers, having previously been one of the SNK representatives in Capcom vs. SNK 2.
