particularly this year. well now the boy scouts of america is expected to take a major leap and end its blanket ban on gay leaders on monday. in may, the national president of the boy scouts robert gates spoke out publicly saying that the ban on gay adults quote, unquote, cannot be sustained. we reached out to gates for an interview. he was not available but was able to send us this statement which reads, quote, this resolution will allow chartered organizations select adult leaders without regard to sexual orientation. joining me right now is zach walls, he is the executive director for the groups scouts for equality. hi fred. so what is your reaction to this ban being lifted? we re excited. i want to be clear that this is not over. the woi scouts are going to be
