The decision has been taken on the heels of April 26 IED blast in which 10 personnel of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and a private driver were killed.
The 11 people were returning to the Dantewada district headquarters after conducting an anti-Naxal operation when they were killed in the IED blast on Aranpur road, around 50 km from the headquarters.
Two days before the incident, a demining procedure as part of a road clearance operation was carried out before the troops passed along it, but the IED could not be detected, a top officer said.
