LANGKAWI, 21 April 2021: Langkawi Development Board introduced its Langkawi Economic Direction Plan recently that outlines how Malaysia’s top holiday island intends to shape its “Reopening strategies As a Safe Travel Destination post-Covid-19.”
At a recent Langkawi Networking Day, the board confirmed its
primary focus, post-Covid-19, would concentrate on rebuilding domestic tourism
followed by mobilising travel packages through business relations with foreign
tour operators during the medium to long term.
In a recent post on its Naturally Langkawi Facebook page,
LADA presented its reopening action plan to position the travel destination
with a “new norm approach” involving several government agencies,
private and industrial players in Langkawi.
AirAsia Connects Kota Bharu to Langkawi

AirAsia started operations for its new route connecting Kota Bharu, Kelantan to the holiday island of Langkawi, with the inaugural flight AK6289 arriving into Langkawi on time with a healthy 80% flight load.
Apart from this, AirAsia will also begin operations for three other new routes next week, which are Penang - Kota Bharu and Johor Bahru - Kota Bharu on 22 December, and Ipoh to Langkawi on 23 December.

connecting Kota Bharu, Kelantan, to the holiday island of Langkawi on Saturday.
The inaugural flight (AK6289) touched down in Malaysia’s
premier holiday island, Langkawi, on time with a healthy 80% flight load the
airline reported.
AirAsia also confirmed it would begin operations on three
other new routes this week in Malaysia linking Penang to Kota Bharu, Johor
Bahru to Kota Bharu on 22 December, and introducing a service Ipoh to Langkawi
23 December.
