Several students at Northeast Metro Tech in Wakefield placed at the District III SkillsUSA Conference and qualified to compete in the statewide conference, according to Superintendent David DiBarri, including senior Fama Victoria of Malden, who placed first in the architectural drafting competition. We are so proud of the phenomenal skill and knowledge our students demonstrated at the District III conference in February, DiBarri said. These students are deeply committed to their education and their futures, and it is so exciting to see many of them moving on to compete in the state conference later this school year. I would also like to recognize our Skills advisers, Chris Donahue and Randy Allender, for all their hard work in supporting our students this year.
