Deutsche Bahn submits urgent application against the strike of the train drivers' union GDL. Frankfurt Labour Court could decide on the group's urgent application this Monday. The GDL wants to paralyze rail traffic for passengers in Germany again from Wednesday morning with extensive strikes. The biggest point of contention is the reduction in working hours from 38 to 35 hours per week for shift workers with full wage compensation. The state-owned company had offered the GDL to expand its choice models between more vacation and higher wages.
The management of Deutsche Bahn (DB), the German government and the media are pulling out all the stops in their campaign to end the strike by train drivers.
