A passing train rumbled nearby as construction crews continued their work on the new Olive Tree Apartments community in Hesperia.
The first phase of nearly 200 apartments, which resemble homes, sit in a gated community and should be ready for tenants by the beginning of September, property manager Brody Sanchez told the Daily Press on Friday.
“Once (Southern California) Edison provides us with power, we’ll open up our leasing office,” Sanchez said. “We began pre-leasing by phone in April and have hold deposits for the first 40 apartments.”
