I have nothing against secular artistes – OB Nartey

OB Nartey
Vision 1 FM s Kwame OB Nartey has not been shy about expressing his strong views on Gospel artistes collaborating with secular acts and that has created the impression that he has issues with those into secular music.
When Gospel artiste Celestine Donkor featured secular artistes Efya and Akwaboah on her single
Thank You, Yedawase which she released in December 2020, OB Nartey, who is the host of
Live Worship with OB on Vision 1, was one of the people who criticised the move.
According to him, it was not right for a Gospel musician to have any form of collaboration with a secular musician someone who is into secular music as the two are from different worlds.
Pay attention to lyrics of Thank You Celestine Donkor

Celestine Donkor
It is not as if Gospel artiste Celestine Donkor expected a warm embrace from the Christian community following her collaboration with Efya and Akwaboah on her latest song,
Thank You, Yedawase released in December 2020.
After all, she had witnessed negative reactions to other Gospel/ secular collaborations such as Daddy Lumba and Great Ampong on
Hosanna, Herty Borngreat and Sarkodie on
Take Them, Empress Gifty and Opanka on
Abubro Nkosua, Lady Prempeh and Kuami Eugene on
Mefre Yesu and Nacee and Guru on
Boys Boys.
However, hers seems to have taken the spotlight because of her claims that radio stations are refusing to play the song.
