Three friends working at Watford General Hospital will be throwing themselves out of a plane to raise money for its maternity unit. Ellie Kinson, 24, Tasha Parsons, 23 and Isabella Luxton, 22, will be skydiving from 15,000ft later this year to “give something back” to the NHS for all the work they have done during the coronavirus pandemic. The trio have planned on doing a skydive for a while, so decided that they will tick it off their bucket list while raising money. Their jump has been booked for April, although this may change due to coronavirus restrictions. Ellie said: “We just wanted to do the most extreme thing possible really, the NHS has done so much for us and we just wanted to give something back.

An art gallery in a corridor at Lister Hospital in Stevenage is providing a space for community artists to display their work.
Back in 2017, colleagues Joan Lomas and Dr Sagen Zav-Varghese were discussing health and art at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust s annual general meeting when they came up with the idea for a gallery within the hospital.
And now - after joining forces with artists Dagmar Louw and Alison Burton, who also work for the trust at Lister - that dream has become a reality.
