LMFM By Ruth O Connell Louth and East Meath TD Fergus O Dowd raised the issue with the Housing and Local Government Minister
The Dáil has been told that a decision on Louth County Council s application for funding for the Northern Cross Port Access Route in Drogheda, is expected by the end of March.
The proposed road network would remove port traffic from the centre of Drogheda and would open up land for five thousand homes which have been granted planning permission.
The local authority s previous application under the Urban Regeneration and Development Fund proved unsuccessful.
Local Fine Gael TD Fergus O Dowd raised the issue yesterday with the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage Darragh O Brien.
