Amsterdam Police: Bronx man arrested in June Union St. shooting of man in neck; Faces attempted murder count

AMSTERDAM – A Bronx man has been arrested in connection with the June shooting of a man on Union Street, police said Sunday.
Heriberto Rodriguez, 23, of the Bronx, was arrested in New York City on one count of second-degree attempted murder, police said.
Rodriguez is accused of opening fire from a vehicle in front of 92 Union St. June 18, striking the victim on the sidewalk, police said. The victim, 25, suffered a gunshot wound to his neck. He was airlifted to Albany Medical Center and survived.
