Local Resident Builds Public Skating Rink In Curry Park

If you happened to pass through Curry Park this weekend, you may have noticed a new addition.
On Friday, local resident Herb Cloutier completed his pet project to bring a skating rink to Curry Park, fulfilling a vision he had that stemmed from his childhood memories.
Cloutier says he and his friends used to skate the creek in their younger days, and so, he decided to take it upon himself to bring it back.
“As the sun starts to go down, it reminds me of being a kid again with a stick and a puck, or just skating with my sister,” Cloutier said. “It’s like the field of dreams, it just comes alive, and you have fun. You forget the cold, you forget the time, and you just be a kid again.”
