Mulţi copii abandonaţi în spitalele din România îşi încep viaţa în condiţii inumane: petrec până la doi ani între gratiile unui pătuţ, unele pătuţuri fiind mai mici decât ei; nu se pot mişca sau întoarce; nu văd lumina naturală, nu sunt hrăniţi corespunzător, sunt legaţi cu celofan în loc de scutece; nu sunt stimulaţi corespunzător cu vârsta lor, personal puţin şi adesea nemotivat (2 îngrijitoare la 50 de copii)!!!
