12-year-old Florida boy dies after ATV crash
HIGHLANDS COUNTY, Fla. [WFLA] – A 12-year-old boy died after getting into an ATV crash in Lake Placid.
The boy was driving a John Deere Gator ATV on private property near Henscratch Road, Florida Highway Patrol reported.
Troopers said the ATV crashed into a tree and a lower hanging tree limb went over the hood of the ATV and hit the boy.
The boy died later at a local hospital.
No other information has been released at this time.
