Multnomah County Sheriff’s deputies recovered the body of a 50-year-old woman Saturday after her car was swept away and buried by a landslide in the Columbia River Gorge earlier this month.
Jennifer Moore, 50, was driving her SUV as part of a caravan of cars of family members who were evacuating the Warrendale area shortly after midnight Jan. 13. The pandemic led parishes to celebrate special liturgies, such as this Aug. 27 special Holy Hour at Saint Therese of the Child Jesus Parish to pray for the health and wellbeing of the people who work on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. As with all liturgies during this time, social distancing measures were observed.

SALT LAKE CITY When the novel coronavirus struck Utah in March, Bishop Oscar A. Solis implemented emergency measures in the Diocese of Salt Lake City, issuing a dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass, suspending public worship in Catholic churches, canceling events such as the annual diocesan Lenten retreat, and instructing the Utah Catholic Schools to provide remote instruction rather than onsite.
The LSU Tigers (4-5) faced the Ole Miss Rebels (4-4) on December 19, 2020 in the battle for the Magnolia Bowl Trophy at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, LA. The game ended in an LSU victory with a score of 53-48.
LSU went three and out on their first drive and punted to Ole Miss to start out the game.
Ole Miss took their first offensive drive 85 yards and capped it with a touchdown pass.
With ole Miss up 7-0, Max Johnson and the LSU offense got momentum with a first down completion to TE Kole Taylor. But that was short lived, as another punt put the football back in Rebels’ hands.
