Unspecific number of hoodlums were shot dead, other sustained bullet wounds while some were arrested when state security outfit, Operation Akpakwu ambushed suspected arm robbers in Akpabuyo area of Cross River State
DAILY POST gathered that Operation Akpakwu ambushed the hoodlums after persistent armed robbery incidents, kidnappings and other crime- related operations in Akpabuyo in the area.
It was learnt that the hoodlums for the past few weeks have made the local government unbearable, inflicting injuries, destroying property and killing innocent people.
In a chart with DAILY POST, the head of Operation Akpakwu, Henry Okokon, who is the State Security Adviser to Gov Ayade, condemned the actions of the hoodlums.

An unspecified number of cultists have been killed in a renewed cult war in the Akpabuyo and Bakassi local government areas of Cross River State.
It was gathered that three suspected cults, Skylo, Mafia and Black Scorpion, were the dominant groups in the areas.
They were said to have been attacking on another since Monday, leaving scores dead.
The Chairman of the Bakassi LGA, Iyadim Iyadim, said, “There are a lot of killings in the area, it is cult-related. The last boy who died, his colleagues took him for charm preparation, so that bullet and other weapons will not penetrate his body.

It was a scene of chaos on the ever-busy Benin/Asaba road as members of the Nigeria Vigilante Group in Benin engaged a commercial bus driver in a fight over wrong driving
The incident which happened before the Ikpoba river, close to the Muslim prayer ground caused heavy traffic as it took hours for commuters to access the road.
DAILY POST gathered from eyewitnesses that trouble started when vigilante members stopped a commercial bus driver who was moving against the traffic but he proved stubborn. leading to an altercation.

The abductors of a Deeper Life Bible Church Pastor, Otamayomi Ogedengbe in Ondo State have made contact with his family.
The kidnappers were said to have demanded the payment of N30 million ransom before the pastor who was kidnapped three days ago would be set free.
Pastor Ogedengbe, a native of Akungba Akoko in Akoko South West Local Government Area of the state was kidnapped from a church located along Irese road in Akure South Local Government Area of the state on Monday night around 8:37pm.
A family source said the kidnappers insisted that the ransom was not negotiable
