Challenger Tour Weekly Preview: Action from Hong Kong & Australia
Challenger Tour
There are two events on the Challenger Tour this week, with both tournaments coming from the Eastern Hemisphere, in Hong Kong and Australia.
Due to the ongoing COVID-pandemic, both events have restricted entry criteria, with only players currently residing in those, or nearby countries, being allowed to enter.
The Chairman Cup 2 will be the first event of the week starting on Wednesday 5, and it will take place in Hong Kong. The North Coast Open will be played in Coffs Harbour, Australia, and will take place over the coming weekend.

Hungary’s Hannah Chukwu and Hong Kong’s Chi Him Wong have been named the PSA Challenger Tour Players of the Month for March following their impressive performances.
Chukwu is relatively new to the PSA Tour with just three PSA events under her belt, despite making her debut in 2019, for which she has never been knocked out before the semi-finals.
Last month saw her claim her maiden PSA Tour title with a 3-0 victory over Csenge Kiss-Máté at the SquashBerek Open held in Tatabanya, Hungary.
She then backed this up with a runner-up finish, despite being unseeded, at the Open des Bretzels in Mulhouse, France where she missed out on the title to France’s World No.46 Enora Villard.
APAC’s cannabidiol (CBD) and hemp sector is expected to progress rapidly over the coming years, especially in India, China and Australia where they are approved for food use, although many other nations are still wary of granting the regulatory go-ahead.
This is why in this edition of the FNA Deep Dive, we take a closer look at the CBD and hemp industry from a food and nutrition perspective, and how APAC firms are producing products such as beverages, edible oils, meat alternatives, spreads and more.
The rapid growth of this industry is expected to be propelled by the growing number of vegans in the region and rising health consciousness due to hemp and CBD’s nutritional benefits, and the industry as a whole is expected to grow some 28.6% to hit US$22.9bn by 2027.
