On Thursday, April 29, numerous criminal charges were filed against 29-year-old John Robert Scott, of Clinton, stemming from ongoing criminal investigations into two separate shooting incidents that occurred on Friday, April 23, in the southeast portion of Henry County.
Charges filed by the Henry County Prosecuting Attorney’s office include counts of first-degree assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm, as well as single counts of first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary. Scott is currently being held at the Henry County Detention Center with no bond.
Authorities also say 32-year-old Kevin Lee Thornburg is still wanted on an active felony warrant for a parole violation (original charge of second-degree burglary), which was issued on January 8, 2021; as well as other municipal warrants. On Thursday, April 29, a criminal charge was filed against 20-year-old Katelin R. Dugan, of Deepwater, stemming from an ongoing criminal investigation into an incident that occurred on Friday, April 9, on SW 250 in the Ladue area.
Officials at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office say trail cameras set up on the property captured photographs of a female perpetrator reported to be Dugan, as well as a male accomplice driving a white, full-sized Chevrolet pickup truck- with stolen items visible in the bed of the truck, which were taken from the victim’s outbuilding. The photographs of the perpetrators and suspect vehicle were posted to social media sites, and the female suspect was identified as Dugan by numerous persons who contacted the victim and the Sheriff’s Office, as well as being identified by deputies.
Area authorities have issued a BOLO for a 19-year-old man.
According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Department, Christian Hunter Thompson, who is 5-foot-8 and about 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, has active arrest warrants and fled from a residence in Deepwater. He also is wanted for questioning regarding his potential knowledge and/or involvement in other ongoing criminal investigations within Henry County.
Thompson is known to steal vehicles, so residents are urged to ensure that all vehicles in the area are locked and keys are removed.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is still searching for 32-year-old Kevin Lee Thornburg for apprehension and questioning involving a home invasion that occurred at about 10:30 p.m. on Friday, April 23, on SE 250 in the Coal area.
The sheriff’s office says during the incident, the homeowner was shot by Thornburg before he fled the scene. The homeowner was transported by ambulance for medical treatment for the gunshot wound, and has subsequently been released from the hospital.
Thornburg currently is being sought on the felony offenses of first-degree assault, first-degree burglary, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.
Area authorities are urging residents to be on the lookout for a wanted man.
According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Department, deputies reported to the 700 block of SE 250 (Coal area) investigating a shooting incident, and Kevin Lee Thornburg fled the scene heading west on SE 250 in a black or dark blue pickup truck (possibly an extended cab Chevrolet) with the reported shotgun still in his possession on Saturday, April 24.
Thornburg is currently wanted for questioning regarding his involvement in which the victim sustained a gunshot wound to the arm, believed by means of a shotgun.
Thornburg is described as a 32-year-old white male, who is 6-foot tall, 200 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.
