A MAN who came to the aid of a walker who had broken his ankle says he was pleased to be able to help.
Shane Renders was one of a number of people who helped Philip Stott (pictured), as the
Henley Standard reported last week.
Mr Stott, 50, was enjoying a stroll in the fields above Remenham when he slipped on a wet slope and twisted his right ankle so he was unable to walk.
He was helped by an older couple and their adult son as well as Mr Renders and two other men who carried him back to his car and covered him in blankets and foil when he went into shock.

A MAN who broke his ankle on a walk wants to find the people who helped him to say thank-you.
Philip Stott was enjoying a stroll in Remenham last month when he slipped on a wet slope and twisted his right ankle so he was unable to walk.
He was helped by an older couple and their adult son and three other men who carried him back to his car and covered him in blankets and foil to help him recover from shock.
They then helped him into a car so that his wife, Annie, could drive him to Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, where he had surgery.
Fury sparked by firework show );

ORGANISERS of a fireworks display in Henley have been lambasted over the noise, which was likened to a bomb going off.
Residents living up to several miles away complained about the loud bangs coming from the event at the Henley Showground on Saturday evening.
They said their animals were terrified and houses shook and one compared the explosions to the sound of war.
However, the organisers said the show was designed to cheer people up and members of the audience said they enjoyed the evening and it was well organised.
The display, which was staged by Xplosive Events, of Wallingford, was due to be held on Bonfire Night but had to be postponed due to the second national lockdown. It was rearranged for Saturday at the showground off Marlow Road.
