Yeovil residents have spoken of their sadness as an ongoing murder investigation continues int he town, following the death of a man on Saturday (December 13).
TWO people remain under arrest as part of a murder inquiry, after a 40-year-old man died in Yeovil. Officers investigating the incident applied for a warrant of further detention, which was granted at a hearing earlier today (December 13). This means the 23-year-old man and 29-year-old man can be held for an additional 36 hours. Police are still investing the incident which took place in a flat on Hendford Hill at 12.30am yesterday morning (December 12). The premises is still cordoned off. Senior Investigating Officer Det Insp Phil Walker, of the Major Crime Investigation Team, said: “Our investigation is progressing at pace and I’d like to thank the local community for their patience and support while police activity continues at the scene, including searches and forensic enquiries.
