Henderson County (May 9, 2022) - Bullington Gardens, Hendersonville’s public botanical garden and horticultural education center, is upgrading the visitor map of its grounds, thanks to a grant from the Henderson Tourism and Development Authority.
HENDERSON, Ky. Spring brings many welcome sights, and among them this year is the return of riverboats to Henderson. After more than a year without river cruises stopping in our city, our 2021 calendar is finalized with 20 riverboats stopping in Henderson beginning on April 22, said Abby Dixon, executive director of the Henderson Tourism Commission. Needless to say, this is huge for our local tourism industry and a great sign that we re headed in the right direction! she said.
Dixon said reopening the community to tourism, specifically the riverboats, is something we can all look forward to. At the beginning of riverboat season, we will see more than 100 people in our town shopping in our stores, eating in our restaurants . that s a direct impact.
