A programme of global scale
One of these events is the remarkable UAE – Israel agreement – the Abraham Accords. In a year of unceasing bad news, the world awoke in August to a surprise resolution to one of the world’s longest-running disputes. UNITAR is proud to host two of those negotiators in the room – Ms. Hend Otaiba from the UAE, and Mr. Dor Shapira from Israel. These veteran negotiators will share their experiences in forging a deal that could well reshape the region, and highlight lessons for other conflicts around the world.
The programme will then shift to a global stage, as our panel of ambassadors and executives consider the future of multilateralism and global citizenship.
