Hemant Soren, the youngest chief minister of Jharkhand, has had a varied career in politics. He took charge of the state in 2013 but had a short-lived stint as CM. He returned to power in 2019 with the support of Congress, RJD. However, he was arrested by ED in a land fraud case.
Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren will be questioned in an alleged money-laundering case linked to a land scam. The ED had issued seven summons to Soren but he had refused to be questioned.
'To provide relief to the poor and middle class families, the government has decided to a give relief of Rs 25 per litre on petrol to two-wheeler owners from January 26,' CM Soren said.
