A bench dedicated to a much-loved Helston resident was found vandalised on Saturday morning. The memorial bench, which had been dedicated to Heather Pett, was discovered by a dog-walker over the weekend and is the second case of a bench being vandalised in a fortnight. The bench, which had a plaque memorial for Heather, had originally been located at the site of Helston Royal British Legion Club where Heather had been a volunteer and regular darts player. However, when the RBL club closed down the benches were moved, unbeknown to those who had organised them.
The bench is the second to be vandalised in a week. Picture:Facebook/Kayleigh Seddon Armstrong
