Over half a million m2 of prime office space lies empty in Finland s capital area

Helsinki Research Forum recently updated its estimates on the vacancy rates of the central office areas in the Helsinki metropolitan area, as well as the current state of the office stock. As of the end of March, there were approximately 528,000 square meters of empty office space, with an average vacancy rate of 12.6 percent. The research group examined the use of office space in a total of 12 different neighborhoods in Helsinki, Espoo, and Vantaa.
