MANSEHRA: The district Health department on Tuesday administered the coronavirus vaccine to faculty and other staff of the Helping Hand Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences.
“Thanks to high-ups of the Health department who established the camp at our campus and health facility to administer the Covid-19 vaccine to teachers and other staff of our institution,” Bahadur Shah, the director operations of HHIRS, told reporters.
He said they had requested the Health department to administer Covid-19 vaccination to their staff to protect them against the coronavirus.
“Our institution runs a prosthesis facility for the people with disabilities and hundreds of patients including aged ones come here monthly so it was highly necessary for our staff to get vaccinated against the Covid-19,” Shah said.
MANSEHRA: Helping Hand Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences signed a memorandum of understanding with Kohat University of Science and Technology here on Saturday for joint research and training,.
MANSEHRA: Educationists and philanthropists have emphasised on the government to provide equal employment opportunities to professionals receiving education in the rehabilitation sciences.
MANSEHRA: The former Pakistan women cricket team captain Sana Mir said that she was pleased to visit the Helping Hand Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences where young men and women were provided.

A rehabilitation and research centre is being established by a United States-based Islamic charitable organisation, Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD), in the outskirts of Karachi and it will be the largest rehab facility for the mentally- and physically-disabled people in Pakistan.
This was stated by Dr Mohsin Ansari, an eminent pediatrician practising in Maryland, US, and serving as the chairman of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) and its overseas charity wing HHRD for last several years, as he addressed a news conference at the Karachi Press Club on Saturday.
The US-based paediatrician is currently on a visit to Pakistan. “We are spending $10 million on the establishment of a state-of-the-art rehabilitation centre and hospital for the treatment of neurological diseases and rehabilitation of physically- and mentally-disabled people and children in Karachi.
