Carers urged to get their coronavirus vaccine to protect those at greater risk YORK carers who have not yet been vaccinated against coronavirus are being urged to get the jab to protect themselves and their loved ones. People who receive a carer s allowance and those who are the sole or primary carer of someone who is at increased risk from COVID-19 may be eligible for the vaccine without realising it. The Vale of York CCG is asking people to arrange their vaccine appointment as soon as possible using the national booking service online or by calling 119 for free from a landline or mobile between 7am and 11pm.
