Now, that work is coming to fruition.
On a frigid Thursday in Perth Amboy, Gov. Phil Murphy gathered with federal, state and local leaders to celebrate the completion of a seven-megawatt solar array on a warehouse rooftop. The project is the first of dozens aimed at delivering solar power to low-income communities.

Gov. Phil Murphy will visit one of the two COVID-19 vaccination mega-sites opening in New Jersey on Friday.
The governor will be at Rockaway Townsquare in Rockaway Township at 8:30 a.m. as firefighters and police officers get their first of two vaccination shots. The event will be shown live on the governor’s YouTube.com channel.
Murphy will be joined in Morris County by state Health Commissioner Judy Persichilli, Attorney General Gurbir Grewal and State Police Superintendent Colonel Pat Callahan.
