Starting with a song featuring guys in coats and girls in bikinis dancing beside a swimming pool, the film registers the intention of the audience makers are targetting. Six friends try to go to Mumbai but are stuck due to the rules of lockdown. The stereotypical ‘millennials’ find an abandoned ‘haveli’ (of course!) to stay for a night.

A good for nothing Chirag Rastogi (Aadar Jain), coolly known as Charlie, is staying with his uncle (Darshan Jariwala), who loves his truck as much as Boman’s pappppa loved his car in Dhamaal. Parallelly, we’ve MD Makwana (Jackie Shroff), the country’s eccentric on-the-run fraudster, and we all know on whom this character is based on within minutes he’s introduced.

When the teaser of Hello Charlie released, fans were quite impressed. The hero, our very handsome Aadar Jain, looks out of a truck’s window in style while listening to Ambarsariya. His co-passenger changes the song and it is revealed that his road-trip partner is a gorilla. The teaser gave us Fukrey vibes and we eagerly waited for the film to premiere on Amazon Prime Video. Well, the wait is finally over. Also starring Jackie Shroff, Shhloka Pandit, Elnaaz Norouzi, Bharat Ganeshpure and Rajpal Yadav, Hello Charlie is a comedy which has been directed by Pankaj Saraswat.
