The management of the National Research Foundation 'Eleftherios K. Venizelos' based at the paternal House-Museum of Eleftherios Venizelos in Halepa, Chania, unanimously decided to establish and operate a Melbourne-based branch, with the aim of studying, researching and promoting the work and national contribution of Eleftherios Venizelos to the wider region of Oceania and Australasia.
