Shoes will give kid a service dog
The Community Resource Center, 940 Pennsylvania Ave., East Liverpool, is collecting new and gently used shoes to help raise funds for a service dog for a 10-year-old Austistic boy who would greatly benefit from having an assistance animal. Donors names will be entered into a drawing for a free gift certificate. For information call 330-385-1305.
Hikers will take to Hellbender
The Columbiana County Park District will hold a spring hike at noon Saturday starting at Hellbender Bluff Park’s Lones Road entrance (GPS coordinates are 40.70836,-80.64789). Geologist and wild flower expert Cheryl Mattevi, mycologist Walt Sturgeon and park lore expert Mike West will lead the hike, which will focus on spring flowers, migrating birds and mushrooms.
