bird landed on the nearest building possible? reporter: some of our colleagues have looked into that. it does not appear at least from some of the maps that there was a helicopter pad on the building. i spoke to a neighbor who knows the building well. it s a well-known building. there s lots of haartworks in there. a lot of high profile individuals use this when they re in new york. he said he s never seen a helicopter land on top of that building. our colleagues say there s no helicopter pad on top of that building. if there were an emergency, it must have been one hell of an emergency because he just grabbed the nearest building. ifs the the helicopter pilot who died, god love him. he saved a lot more people by hitting the top of the building and not the busy streets in midtown manhattan. miguel, thank you so much. i ve got tom van essen on the phone.
