EDWARDSVILLE A Wood River woman faces multiple drug and weapons charges, as departments around the county continue filing new cases accumulated throughout the year.
Helen R. Parker, 46, identified as homeless out of Wood River, was charged Jan. 29 with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a Class 2 felony, as well as two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and aggravated unlawful use of a weapons, all Class 4 felonies.
The case was presented by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department.
According to court documents, on Jan. 28 Parker allegedly was found to be in possession of between five and 15 grams of methamphetamine, less than 15 grams each of hydrocodone and ecstasy, and an immediately-accessible stun gun in a vehicle. Bail was set at $30,000.
