Helen Lunt-Davies’s life is barely recognisable from the one she used to have pre-Covid.
The 51-year-old jeweller from North London used to walk her dog five miles a day, stomping up hills with ease, but now any amount of walking ramps up her heart rate and leaves her gasping for breath. Once a prolific and instinctive cook, she now considers the simple task of grating a carrot a mini-miracle. She hasn’t worked for over a year, doesn’t trust herself to drive and often feels dizzy and weak climbing the stairs of her terraced house.
