YOUNGSTERS at Wheldrake Pre Forest School, part of Wheldrake Pre-School, have been busy working in a nearby woodland. Laura Marsland-Hughes (Pre Forest School Leader) spotted a request from Darren Calvert, of York Linings, to plant native trees at the industrial estate on the edge of the village, and knew that her nature-loving Wheldrake Forest Pre-Schoolers just had to be involved. “We are always so proud of our pre-school children but today, even more so,” said Laura. “Their little legs took them all the way from the Village Hall to the other end of the village, where they helped to create a woodland that will be enjoyed by people for generations to come.”
