Schoolchildren at the summer camp will get to explore the park and also learn skills at their circus school KNOCKHATCH Adventure Park is ready to welcome children from across the region and country as they open their first ever summer camp. Organised in collaboration with Sportitude, a sports coaching and activity club provider, 48 children aged between six and 14 years old will have the chance to explore the indoor and outdoor adventure playgrounds at the park, which is off the Hailsham bypass. As well as playing sports like rounders and football, the children will also learn how to walk the trapeze and juggle in a circus tent at the park.

The Brandon School Division’s board of trustees took time out of their regular meeting on Tuesday to remember local education figurehead Beatrice Jolly, who passed away on May 17 at the age of 92.
Even though Jolly served as a BSD trustee from 2006 to 2010, board chairperson Linda Ross said her contributions extended far beyond this one role.
Bea Jolly of the Delta Kappa Gamma International Society helped in presenting the grade one students at Ecole New Era with a new book to take home as part of the the society’s literacy projects in 2013. (File)
