27 people, organisations fined during lockdown in Khulna

KHULNA, April 16, 2021 (BSS) – Separate mobile courts today fined Taka 13,850 to 27 people and organisations for violating lockdown and Covid-19 health guidelines in Khulna.
According to Khulna district administration, separate mobile courts led by deputy commissioner and district magistrate Md Helal Hossain conducted drives at different parts of the city and upazilas and fined 27 people and organisations for violating health guidelines.
Executive magistrate and assistant commissioner of district administration Debashish Basak told BSS, “We are conducting drives regularly to control the spread of Coronavirus.”
“We also distributed face masks to the people during drives free of cost,” he added.

Khaleque for stern action to prevent coronavirus

KHULNA, April 10, 2021 (BSS) – Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque here today asked government officials, law enforcement agencies to take stern action against the violators of health safety guidelines and other rules set by the government to prevent the sudden surge of COVID-19 in the country.
“Everybody must wear face mask, maintain social distance, use regular sanitizers and abide by health guidelines to prevent the deadly virus”, he said while addressing a meeting as chief guest at Khulna Circuit House conference room today.
Cabinet division secretary (Coordination and Reform) Md Kamal Hossain virtually joined the meeting.

250 destitute families get PMâs gifts in Khulna

KHULNA, Apr 7, 2021(BSS) â A total of 250 destitute poor families of all unions in Batiaghata upazila of Khulna district today received greetings and gifts from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Maintaining social distance and health guidelines, Khulna deputy commissioner and district magistrate Md Helal Hossain distributed the gifts at Jalma Union under Batiaghata upazila in the district, said a press release issued by assistant commissioner Debashish Basak.
Deputy commissioner Md Helal Hossain said as part of the countrywide gift distribution programme, at least 250 jobless, destitute people were given âMujib Barsoâ gifts ahead of the holy Ramadan, the release added.
