senators you think of senator heitkamp in north dakoda and she s saying, even if this hurts me politically. joe manchin is obviously making a different decision. he says it wasn t influenced by politics. it s pretty clear that joe manchin was thinking about whether or not he d get re-elected when he thought about this vote. do you think there will be any effect of donald trump jr. essentially tweeting and trolling joe manchin by calling him out for this vote and asking west virginians to vote for the republican candidate for senate? it s kind of remarkable to see the president s son and maybe later we ll see the president do it attack joe manchin when he voted for their supreme court nominee. but joe manchin is still a democrat. we re likely to see the president and other people attack him and try to get him out of office because at the end of the day, joe manchin is voting for this supreme court justice but it s not as if he s a reliable conservative vote
it s a waste of time to scream at manchin. he voted the way i expected all the time. which is viewed by him as the politically safe way to go. i m really impressed with senator collins, howkowski and heitkamp. it was very clear that all three of them put some serious thought into this. i still expected collins to vote the way that we expect her to vote tomorrow on the confirmation, but it was clear that she put some thought into it. i don t agree with what she said but it s clear she put thought into it. tucker: she made a reasonable case and now she s being dismissed by some right wing crazy the same thoughtfulness can be applied to lisa murkowski and heitkamp. tucker: and even heidi heitkamp made it nonsensical. good luck to them. thanks for coming in. thank you. tucker: one republican senator says julie swetnick should face charges for making
a woman tells her story or in some cases a man. we need to keep that perspective of you live to fight another day. this is a long battle. just i thinking about endurance is important here. and just settling in for a long fight. thank you for that. josh, did you find any profiles in courage today on capitol hill? was it harder for a heitkamp to vote no? was it harder for a mansion to vote yes? that kind of thing? i think, brian, the heitkamp vote is one that could cost her although she seems to be down a little bit in the polls. so she may be in some trouble already. i think claire mccaskill is another person in missouri who could suffer for her vote here. but i do wonder if at least in the short to medium term maybe we re making a little too much of this. it is a generational potential
