Driver who hit and killed a woman in a wheelchair. We are told that the woman was in the bike lane near 48th street and mcdowell when she was hit. Week looking . Its been 20 months since a driver hit and dragged a Denver Police officer under his car. That officer john adsit is now focused on trying to help others. 18 surgeries later and still recovering. Officer adsit wants to assist other First Responders critically injured on the job. He was hurt so badly the two evidence boxes accident. Adsit had a broken pelvis, broken femur, severed artery, collapsed lung and damage to his eyes. He survived thanks to the support of the community and his family. But he says it wasnt easy. Adsit started a nonprofit called adsit strong. it helps other First Responders with the physical and mental challenges of surviving an on duty injury. On september 17th.
