Heesen has announced its latest yacht project,
Aura. Named after philosopher Walter Benjamin’s definition of ‘aura’ a work of art’s unique presence in time and space the 50-metre full displacement motor yacht is sub-500 GT and is designed for extended cruising.
Aura has a steel displacement hull designed by Heesen s in-house naval architects who also engineered the vessel’s drag-cheating bulbous bow.
Designer Clifford Denn is responsible for the exterior and has drawn an external form inspired by classic automotive elements with a focus on outdoor spaces and a naval wheelhouse profile for a masculine touch.
Aura’s interior, designed by British studio Reymond Langton Design, is defined by clean lines and surfaces. In total, five staterooms accommodate up to ten guests on the new Heesen yacht, with the owner s suite located forward on the main deck, and the remaining guest cabins down below.
