The suspect reached for a handgun. San jose police say she was wanted with an unsolved shooting of a man in his 30s. Sundays officerinvolved shooting is the third in san jose in a week. Officers attempted to make contact, they give them commands. They have a warrant, a felony warrant for murder and when they were trying to give the suspect commands, instead of complying, he reached for a handgun and officers fired at the suspect, two officers did and shot the suspect and he is pronounced dead at the scene. Police have ordered the medical examiner to withhold the name of the man killed here last night. The spokesman said that information as well as the names of the officers involved may be released tomorrow. Chuck, thank you. On the run in sunnyvale. Maybe you can make out the evidence processing truck back there. What we are hearing from police, its not a lot, is that there was a shooting out here at 7 00 tonight. An officer shot a man and killed him. Were waiting for an official statement from the police. We are four hours after the of the suge. Nothing from them yet. We are hearing from neighbors. They say there was some kind of a caris cha a. Red car came tearing down this street, crashed into one of the houses. At some point the officer shot the person. Exactly what was going on hype that chase, what the man was wanted for, we dont know. We just know the witnesses say the man was shot. And when he died he was lying on the street. Another other neighbors are saying there were two gunshots. Some say there were four. In any event, the man was shot

Reporter the City Clerks Office reports theyve received more than 1,000 letters against new rent control rules. There are a lot of people on the ore side of this issue as well. They were out in front of city hall protesting, they were in support of proposals in favor of renters, they want stricter limits on annual rent increases. Folks are already struggling to pay the rent where it is right now, piling into homes, ending up on the street. We got a text about somebody whos
