kansas. you can see the winter weather is on tap. this morning dealing with central and southern rockies and picking up snowfall. later this afternoon the system does wring rain and thunderstorms. by the time we get into tomorrow, friday, we see this rain from basically the midwest to the gulf coast. this is when we start to see the system intensify before it lifts to the north before we get into saturday. this is when the rain, the snow, the annoying mix moves in. where that rain-snow line develops is going to be important who sees the heaviest of the snow as well as the hefb yls of the rain. either way i think the midatlantic and north east will see ample amounts of rain. the heaviest rain looks to setup farther to the interior. right now these are preliminary totals we re expecting in some spots. places like boston, hartford, could see the better line of snow setting up there, jonathan, but we still will see if places like new york, philadelphia, wauld, that have had a drought of sn

inches and the heaviest rain looks to be around texas. indra thanks so much. now this is a pretty unexpected story. singer melissa etheridge criticizing angelina jolie for jolie s decision to undergo a double mastectomy. jolie says her decision, she decided to have the surgery after learning she carried the breast cancer gene which put her at high risk of developing breast cancer but etheridge is taking issue with that. nischelle turner has been tracking all of this. it s a very interesting twist in this story. jolie had so much support when she came out with that op-ed in the new york times about why she made her decision. indeed and this is the first real kind of backlash that we re hearing from her decision. i don t know if i d call it backlash. melissa etheridge is a breast cancer survivor. she has a little bit of a different view so maybe this is the first time we re hearing a different view to the decision that angelina jolie was making
