heather: fox news alert. moments ago the interim president of penn state university introduced a news conference. here is some of what we said. i do believe attending a ballgame or turning down a ballgame offer. there is no discussion of that. from my standpoint in the student athletes have earned the right to play in postseason they certainly should be allowed to do so. i m sorry, i couldn t hear the question. are you still actively recruiting for penn state, was he? i have no knowledge of that. if you answered this i apologize was there regret on the part of the board to make that announcement as late on night on wednesday night. was there much thought to waiting to thursday morning?
candidate is somebody they don t like, they think they ll publish the information and verify the facts later. by the way, a majority also believe that if they found information that would hurt a candidate they do like, they burr that. americans have come to believe that reporters are activists. not observers. heather: let s switch gears and talk about reporting the facts from politics to penn state. how do people feel in terms of how penn state has handled these sex abuse allegations? this is a terrible story all around. this point was taken before the decision was made to fire joe paterno and the university president, but only 8% said they had done a good or excellent job. negative reviews for the school. gregg: what about impact on enrollment? 8% say good. we have new numbers coming out next week in terms of how people
they re going to come up with. heather: don, what about you? now that these republicans want off the list? they implement add doomsday machine. with that looming, there is really no way you can cut your way out of this, regardless of the pledge they made. we can t be like greece and thely. we ve got to get our way out of this deficit mess and they re going to have to agree to some sort of revenue increase, whether it s considered a tax or not. there has got to be some increases. heather: revenue increases is what we re calling it. yeah. here is the other very real possibility: if the super committee fails, and i know a lot of people on the right don t like to hear this, but if the super committee fails, not only are you going to have automatic cuts to the defense budget, but we could very well be downgraded again because it further weakens the continents that moody has in washington s ability to get something done, get this deficit under control and like don said,
