The Abdul Latif Jameel Water and Food Systems Lab (J-WAFS) at MIT awarded over $1 million in seed grant funding to MIT researchers working on solutions to water and food issues, such as ways to remove PFAS from water sources, drought monitoring systems for farmers, and improvements to the shellfish industry.

The School of Engineering has announced that MIT has granted tenure to eight members of its faculty in the departments of Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Nuclear Science and Engineering.
