“In my experience with DOW, I saw, with the increase of legal and illegal motorized use of public lands, that horses and horse use was being pushed off, and accidents were happening when they did interact with (off-highway vehicles),” said Zaccagnini, now a horse trainer in Lake George.

If you noticed people walking or running around the community last week wearing colorful ugly sweaters or other holiday attire, you may have seen folks taking part in the annual Siskiyou Family YMCA Ugly Sweater Run.
Due to COVID-19, the race was held virtually this year, with participants having three days to complete the 2-mile run/walk or 5-mile run.
Noelle Collier, Health and Fitness Director for the YMCA, helped organize the event. She said 106 people signed up, which exceeded their expectations. Normally, around 120 or so people take part in the run, which is in its ninth year.
